St. James Preschool maintains a small student/teacher ratio to provide the utmost in individualized instruction.

Teacher and parent requests for class placement are taken into consideration. The director, who makes the final decision on class assignments, weighs these requests along with what will be the best environment for an individual child.

The following classes will be offered for the 2007-08 school year:

INFANT CLASS
6 weeks old by September 1, 2007
    1 or 2 days per week - Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday
    3:1 student:teacher ratio

TODDLER CLASS
    1 year old by September 1, 2007
    Classes are Tuesday/Thursday or Wednesday/Friday
    4:1 student:teacher ration

YOUNG TWO'S CLASS
    2 years old between September 1, 2007 and December 31, 2007
    Classes are Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday/Friday
    6:1 student:teacher ratio

TWO YEAR OLD CLASS
    2 years old by September 1, 2007
    Classes are Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday/Friday
    6:1 student:teacher ratio

YOUNG 3'S CLASS
    3 years old between September 1, 2007 and December 31, 2007
    Classes are Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday/Friday
    7:1 student:teacher ratio

THREE YEAR OLD CLASS
    3 years old by September 1, 2007
    Classes are Monday/Wednesday/Friday or a five-day class
    8:1 student:teacher ratio

FOUR YEAR OLD CLASS (Pre-Kindergarten)
    4 years old by September 1, 2007
    Classes are Monday through Friday.
      8:1 student:teacher ratio

At the discretion of the director, a five-year old class may be offered. This is a transitional class for those students not quite ready for kindergarten or a pre-first program. Please contact the director if you have questions regarding this class.
