This summer, St. James is again proud to offer an opportunity for our youngsters to hone their basketball skills by learning from the best! The goal of our week-long summer camp is not only for participants to develop their athletic skills but, also learn the essential life skills of:
dedication, cooperation, respect and consideration for one another. Additionally, we strive to assist young people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and with one another as they develop and demonstrate their God-given athletic skills.
This week-long camp will stress the fundamentals of basketball for players of all skill levels. We stress the concept of having fun while improving playing skills and building relationships. Participation is open to all boys and girls ages 8 - 15.
After being named All-American in high school, Nino Samuel went on to play basketball at University of Kansas and professionally in Indianapolis, the Philippines and in Las Vegas.
Nino has coached and mentored all levels of players from an inner city youth group to a high school team to an Olympic 4-time Gold Medalist.
Nino Samuel was inducted into the Basketball Greats Hall of Fame in August of 1991.
