St. James has a thriving and vibrant music program with many different opportunities to share your musical talents. Whether you sing, ring bells, play an instrument, or just want to learn, there is a spot for you in one of our ensembles!
Members of our musical groups have a wide variety of skill level, ranging from beginners to professionals. We are all on an educational journey together, working and learning to be the best musicians that we can be; everyone is welcome and encouraged to join us.
Cherub Choir
Our PreK-2nd graders experience the joy of singing and are introduced to beginning music reading and basic rhythms through percussion instruments and handbells.
Our Director is Matti Unger Hall. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 5:15-6pm.

Junior Choir
Our 3rd to 6th graders experience music through singing and a variety of instruments – chimes, handbells, castanets, and recorder. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 5:15-6pm.
Youth Music
Young musicians grades 6-12 are welcome to join our youth ensemble. We learn worship songs together and invite anyone who plays an instrument as well! Handbell Choir
Bells are a great way to learn music basics, meet new friends, and try something new! We generally meet weekly for a month at a time to prepare for Sunday ringing. Schedule can be flexible. Please contact Director of Music, Verena Anders, at vanders@stjamesatlanta.org
Men’s Choir
The St James Men’s Choir is a fun group of men who gather a few times a year to sing and provide music for worship together. Rehearsals are typically on Monday evenings the month leading up to Sunday singing. If interested, please contact Director of Music, Verena Anders, at vanders@stjamesatlanta.org
Chancel Choir
The St James Chancel choir consists of adults of all ages with varying skill levels. The choir has a deep commitment to providing music for worship and is a devoted, welcoming and warm group of singers. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 7:30-9pm in the choir room.
