Seasonal Missions

There are several ways that St. James is putting belief into action this Spring. Learn more about these opportunities to serve in our community and beyond.

Habitat for Humanity Build
This spring, you can be a part of our ministries of service by participating in our Habitat for Humanity build. Join us over the eight Saturdays in May and June as we partner with Atlanta Habitat for Humanity to build a home for a local family. Participants must be at least 16-years old, but no special skills or tools are required. Please contact Jim Branan at 404-538-4867 or james.m.branan@gmail.com to learn more.

Mother’s Day Carnations for Missions
St. James’ Belief in Action team is once again selling carnations to benefit the church’s missions and service activities. Visit the table in the Narthex after worship on Sundays in April to purchase carnations in honor of the mother figures in your life. Honorees will receive a handwritten note and can pick up their flowers on Mother’s Day.

Ladies Tea and Auction for Dress for Success
Join St. James for our annual Ladies Tea and Accessories Auction on Saturday, May 12, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. This event will raise money for Dress for Success, an organization that empowers women entering the workforce with professional attire and support. The silent auction will include various accessories, and a live auction will be conducted during brunch. We are currently accepting donations of old and new purses, jewelry, belts, scarves, gloves, and hats. So, mark your calendars, make plans to attend, and bring your donations to the bin outside the church office! Questions? Contact Jessie Hudson at jessiegrundy@yahoo.com.
