Seasonal Missions

There are several ways that St. James is putting belief into action this Lent. Learn more about these opportunities to serve in our community and beyond.

Be a Blessing to Wesley Woods Residents— 75% of the senior residents at Wesley Woods’s 10 communities need assistance to age with grace, dignity, and purpose. Please take a blessing bag with the suggested list of items and fill it with small-sized things that these seniors may need. The bags are located in the adult Sunday School rooms, the church office, and the narthex. Please return your bag(s) filled with items by Sunday, February 11. Thank you from everyone at Wesley Woods!

Early Response Team Training—We invite you to be a part of our St. James early responders. After disaster, making an area safe, sanitary, and secure by doing temporary repairs is crucial. This training equips people with skills to respond to disaster. Each team member will have a focus and teams stay no more than 3 days at a time. Multiple classes are being offered in our conference. Our trip will be in the date range of April 2-8 depending upon team availability. Please reach out to james.m.branan@gmail.com and eeeidbo@bellsouth.net to express interest or with any questions.
